Briefly about me

As an entrepreneur based in both Munich and Antalya, I am committed to researching and developing sustainable solutions in the field of environment, energy and food. In addition, I volunteer as a philanthropist on various social issues. Whether I am supporting people in need as the founder of the German Alliance for Civilian Assistance, train children as a baseball coach, providing a home for street animals or being active in the coordination of international operational plans in the SAR-EMS-CDPU for civilian disaster control - volunteering is a matter of course and a matter of honour for me.

As a child, I discovered my passion for flying and have dreamed of becoming a professional pilot ever since. However, things turned out differently than planned. Later, I took my sons gliding and finally let them persuade me to join. So at the age of 43, I started piloting gliders over the Alps. I then obtained my motor glider and UL licences and completed a Rotax certificate in engine maintenance. My next goals are no less than PPL-A and then the CPL-A rating. But until then, I'm diligently exploring the skies and far away countries with my wife. By the way: I am also the co-founder of the Fly2Troy association.

By the way, since I've been coaching baseball, everyone calls me Coach Barbossa. That's how my name Pilot Barbossa came to be.
